The lodge
Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge stands on the banks of the Mluwati river in a private concession of the Kruger National Park, shared with Imbali and Hamiltons. Its name is a Xitsonga greeting for the warmest and most festive of welcomes, and its rooms are dressed in fabrics and craft from the local Tsonga community.
The six suites are round, thatched and air-conditioned, each with a king-size bed, a stone bath, an outdoor shower and a private deck. Two safaris a day are included; between drives guests watch elephants and other game drinking at the waterhole from the infinity pool, and dinner is served around an open fire.
